TCAP2 Roadshow series travels Scotland’s Towns

Throughout the summer this year, we worked with Scotland’s Towns Partnership to take the new TCAP2 Roadshow series of events to towns across Scotland, featuring key speakers and engaging with town’s professionals, up and down the country.

Beginning with a Ministerial launch that welcomed Tom Arthur MSP to our first event in the Borders, we then covered regions such as East Lothian, Central Scotland, Highlands and Islands, and the Southwest of Scotland with a series of online and in person events.

The joint Scottish Government and COSLA response to A New Future for Scotland's Town Centres report, set out some of the ways in which we can all seek to do our part, locally and nationally, in rebuilding, re-energising and reimagining our towns to meet our place and country ambitions.

The ‘TCAP2’ Roadshow Series illustrated how a place-based holistic approach can help revitalise towns across Scotland. Ambition, collaboration and leadership are key to aligning and delivering on TCAP2. With a focus on encouraging stakeholders to embrace and commit to the place agenda, the series was a success - and a welcome return to in-person events after years of events being exclusively hosted online.
